No. At HiJack Web Design, I charge a one-time fee to build you a website. This is paid in 2 instalments, 50% initial deposit and the remainder upon completion. There is also the monthly upkeep cost which covers hosting, security, backups and more.
I charge no other fees. If you have an online store then the payment process provider (e.g. PayPal / Stripe) will charge a per-transaction fee.
A Domain name is your website address (e.g. mine is hijackwebdesign.com). You will need one in order to have a website. They can range in price from around £10/$12 up to much higher amounts depending on the domain name.
If you already have a domain name then I will deal with getting your new website to run on it. If you don’t have a domain name you will need to purchase one from a domain name registrar, but I can also make this quick and easy for you.
No. I build top-tier websites built around speed, responsiveness and optimised for search engines like Google and that’s what I maintain – but if I haven’t built the site to begin with then I can’t offer this.
No. I work longterm with my clients to keep the beautiful site I build for you in top working order. If you do want to go elsewhere for hosting and maintenance afterwards then you can do, I will even help migrate the website to your new provider, but I will not be able to take it back again afterwards if you later change your mind and want to return.
No, once the website is complete and paid for then if you decide you no longer want my services you can cancel. You own your website and can take it where you wish. You will need to arrange new hosting for yourself but I can assist in migrating it for you.
As part of monthly upkeep at HiJack Web Design, I am happy to make some design and/or content changes for you. For example adding or removing a team member’s picture and bio. Alternatively, if you have a major change or addition such as a whole new web page or a bunch of new services then I may need to charge a fair fee for the extra time – but I’ll happily go through this with you at the time, or if you have any pre-sale questions then you can contact me.
No, I’ll require very little of your time. I am a web designer and developer – it’s like having an architect, builder & interior designer rolled into one. So we’ll have an initial conversation where you tell me what you want, and then I’ll take care of the rest.
The design I produce will be complimentary to your existing brand if you already have one, whilst being modern and easy for people to use. I also use the latest techniques to design the website to be conversion-focussed, meaning that it is an asset that works for you.
Tell them the truth or nothing at all. Getting a new website is like buying a new car and parking it at a new garage. Your current provider won’t have any access or connection with your new website or domain. I take care of the entire process.

I work remotely, so even if you’re outside the area, I can still help build and maintain your website. I have clients on the South Coast, as well as abroad – including the USA and Australia.
